
Steve Ahrens, MPTPhysical Therapist & Clinic Director
Steve graduated from West Point in 1984 and served as a Ranger-Qualified Infantry Officer until 1989. Steve earned a master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 1992. He has over 25 years of experience in orthopedics and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has helped numerous professional and Olympic athletes with their rehabilitation.

Ashley Gibbs, PTPhysical Therapist
Ashley is a Physical Therapist who enjoys caring for all those in need of rehabilitative needs, from pediatrics to geriatrics. She graduated in '94 from Andrews University in MI. She is a kid at heart and has 3 kids of her own.

David Mathis, PTAPhysical Therapist Assistant
David earned his degree from South College in 2022 with an Associates in Applied Science. David has experience in skilled nursing and outpatient rehabilitation. David has been with PRO Physical Therapy for one year. David and his wife, Carla are parents of their one daughter, Hallee. In David's spare time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and fishing.

Kaylie Bumgardner, PTA Physical Therapist Assistant
Kaylie earned an Associate in Applied Science Physical Therapist Assistant in 2017 from South College in Asheville, NC. She has experience in the natural environment settings with pediatrics and outpatient settings with adults. Kaylie is also a LSVT BIG certified clinician.

Matthew Stulls, PTA Physical Therapist Assistant
Matthew graduated from South College in Asheville, NC to earn his Associates in Applied Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2014. Matthew has nearly 8 years of experience in outpatient and skilled nursing. He is a veteran of the US Army where he served as a combat engineer. He enjoys working with all types of patients with post surgical and orthopedic injuries, balance and fall prevention.

Kevin Porter, PTAPhysical Therapist Assistant
Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Athletic Training from Gardner Webb University in 1997. He completed the PTA Program at Greenville Technical College in 2001. He is licensed in NC and SC. He has 17 years of experience in orthopedic and sports injuries. Kevin also has LSVT BIG certification for Parkinson’s Disease.

Marque BumgardnerLead Therapy Aide
Marque is a Rutherford County native. She has worked for over 20 years in inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings. Marque enjoys spending time with her family.

Laramie Floyd, Office Manager
Lara is a Rutherford County native with a background in zoology. She was previously a zookeeper who worked with and raised big cats, including tigers, lions, and leopards. She has 6 years of experience as a medical receptionist and was previously employed at Mission Hospital McDowell.
